C-130 Aircrew Training System

The U.S. Air Force C-130 Aircrew Training System (ATS) provides an effective and comprehensive academic and simulation training program developed specifically for C-130 Airmen.

Headquartered at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark., the C-130 ATS schoolhouse is the Department of Defense’s C-130 formal training Center of Excellence. The program supports active duty Air Force and Air Force Reserve Airmen as well as Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy personnel.

Airmen from more than 40 countries also train with the system. The average annual throughput is more than 11,000 students. Lockheed Martin provides C-130 aircrew and maintenance training via academic and ground-based simulator instruction. The system includes agile training for all aircrew positions, refresher courses, cockpit resource management (initial and recurring), instrument refresher courses and the instructor preparatory course.

Based on customer needs and requirements, Lockheed Martin continuously evolves the C-130 ATS program by affordably integrating new technology and coursework. The program continues to support the C-130 Avionics Modernization Program with advanced curriculum and training devices.
